T-Ball rules are simple. There’s four innings. Half the players bat each inning so each player gets two at-bats per game. Even though the kids attempt to field the hit balls there are no outs. For each hit the runners take one base. For the final batter each inning the runners clear the bases. Score is not kept. It’s all about having fun and learning the basics of the game.
Tyler had a great time in his first game. Even though he does seem to be a bit bored in the field he finds many ways to keep himself entertained. You may also notice he “tags” the opposing running during his first inning in the field. Actually, it looks like he wacks the running with his non-glove hand. He was told by one of the coaches to not touch the other players. I think he thought he was just doing his job.
He also got a stint as a catcher dressed up in full catcher gear. I don’t think I’ve seen anything cuter. He was completely engulfed by the outfit.

Tyler participated in his first Little League Opening Day parade today. He’s playing on The Pirates with a few of his kindergarten classmates. Here’s the video on YouTube.
His first game is March 29 at 1:30 PM PST. I’ll have video of that online as soon as humanly possible after the game.
Tyler had his 3rd birthday party today (July 22, 2006). A few of Tyler’s friends came over and everyone had a really good time. His Papa got him a remote control Mater (The Tow Truck from Cars). Here’s a couple of minutes of Tyler enjoying his new toy.
As promised I have new pictures of Tyler posted now. One of the pictures deserves a little more explanation that what is possible in a caption. I’m talking about this one.
One morning recently Emily was in the living room getting ready for the day and Tyler was in the kitchen. Tyler is almost three years old now and is quite capable of performing a lot of complex tasks all by himself. On this particular morning Tyler decided to pull out a Ziploc bag from the bottom of our pantry and pack his own “lunch”. His idea of lunch consisted on whatever else happened to be laying around on the bottom shelf of the pantry; a container of apple sauce, a bowl and three miniature bottles of cooking wine. He then proceeded to carry his packed bag out to the living room and told mommy, “Hey mommy! I made a pack lunch!”
He called the bottles of wine water because as far as he knows everything that comes in a little bottle is water. Of course, we did not actually let him have any of this.

Here’s some recent pictures from our recent trip to Tahoe. You may also notice some pictures captioned as “From the Regis Photo Shoot”. We took these pictures in hopes of getting the kids on Live With Regis and Kelly as part of their “Beautiful Baby” contest. I don’t know who they had judging the pictures but they were obviously bribed because neitheer Tyler nor Jillian even made it on TV much less became a finalist.
Bonus Album – Snowmen
My mom seems to have collected quite a few snowmen over the past few years. I decided to document exactly how many snowmen she has in this photo album.

I deeply apologize for the lack of new picture these past several weeks. I’ve been hard at work on Tyler’s 2nd Year DVD. The DVD is nearly complete. We have a few more interview segments to record put a bit more editing to get those interview segments into the overall movie but it’s almost there.
So now I can go back to posting new pictures every Saturday. I had a lot of catching up to do so there’s a lot of pictures in this update. Here’s the albums that have been updated.

Last weekend we took Tyler to the local pumpkin patch to get pumpkins for Halloween. This is the kind of place that has a several rides for kids to enjoy in addition to the vast array of pumpkins for sale. We decided to let Tyler go on this little “Truck Train” ride. This is actually the first time he’s gone one a ride like this by himself. Of course, we were just few feet away watching him the whole time but he was riding in the little truck all by himself. Of course, we have a video of the whole experience. Pay attention near the end where Tyler closes his eyes for most of one lap around the track. Watch the video.
